Dr. Wilson attended Valdosta State University, the University of Georgia, and the University of Alabama School of Optometry in Birmingham. He graduated valedictorian in 1980 and received the Bausch & Lomb award for Contact Lens Clinician of the Year. After graduation, Dr. Wilson served for the United Nations, rendering eye care services for three Cambodian refugee camps in Thailand. In 1981, he returned to Valdosta and opened the doors to Wilson Eye Center. With the growth of the practice came the addition of 6 more optometrists, additional services, and a growing number of staff. Although Dr. Wilson no longer takes clinic hours at WEC he continues to be at the forefront of Optometric technology, as well as keeping Wilson Eye Center there. He is a member of the Georgia Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Wilson is Board Certified in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Eye Disease.
